Video In Class.

I was just wondering what you all thought about that video that Mrs. White showed in class last Monday before we left. I thought it was really cool and eye-opening, I wasn't expecting it at all, I mean at first I thought it was just going to be talking about how the animals pushed through and survived but I thought it was really interesting how whoever made it connected each different animal to a specific kind of child who learns a certain way. I just liked it and I was curious to see your all's thoughts.

I agree that the video was extremely insightful. Mrs. White could you post a link to this video or is it in your own personal collection?

It is in the Weekly Resources for Week 13, http://www.raisingsmallsouls.com/

That brings me to a sincere - truly not sarcastic question.

If SOME students don't read their text to prepare for class, nor review the resources in the Weekly folders on Blackboard - which I will be reviewing and revising for next semester as I did for this semester. . . how do students think they are to get/learn new information in college?

How much of it do you think should come from the profession?

How much of it should come from the activities they prepare and create for the class time?

How much of it should come from the time students spend reading and reviewing material on their own?

i thought this video was really great. i watched it a couple days before class and it really got my attention. i think the comparison between animals and people was a really great way to get their message across.

I felt as though the video did a great job at showing how many different learning styles there really are as well as the different types of students you see everyday in the classroom. It proves that we as teachers are going to have to work extra hard in order to make sure that we give every child we come in contact with the chance to succeed.

I like the video and it shows a sencere problem that is often overlooked that we all should be aware of as teachers to be.
