Classroom Observation
I was looking over the document on our classroom observation assignment and I' m a little confused. Does anyone know if a daycare is considered a school setting? I would love to shadow a special ed teacher that works with autistic children but I'm not sure how to go about doing that. Does anyone have any ideas? I know that we havent really talked much about this in class, I was just looking ahead. Have a great weekend! :)

Daycares are incredibly important places for children. Much education occurs there. However, for your observation you must do it in a structured school setting that follows a specified curriculum.
I would start out by contacting a school in your HOME school district, if possible. It is most likely that principals or school counselors there will remember you. I'm sure they would be willing to help you set up the observation.
