To Answer Professor White's Question...

Well I feel that I did learn something from last night's class, even though it was only a short time. I feel confident in saying that I can see the difference between speech, language, and communication. I like how we leaned the importance in making sure students learn! This is a crucial point in being a good teacher. When I look back at my favorite teachers, I liked the ones who cared about me actually grasping the material the most. It helps students when their teachers reach out to them.

I agree. There are not many teachers out in the world like that today.

Yeah, I can definitely relate my good/favorite teachers to the times in my life when I've been excited to come home after school and talk about what I had learned that day.

I agree as well. Even though we only went over a little bit of material, I am actually kind of excited for the semester. It will def be difficult but interesting. I hope I will be able to one day make that kind of impact on a child.

I too agree, when in school I had both kinds of teachers and I tended to retain more from the teacher who actually cared about me rather than caring about what she was doing.I could sense that they cared and I strived to make them proud of me, on the other hand if the teacher didn't care then I often found myself unable to.

I also agree. My favorite teachers throughout my school career have been those that showed they cared for not only me but my education. There are so many teachers out there that just want to meet the goals of the school. Good teachers are the ones that take the child's needs into their own hands and go above and beyond what is expected of them!
