Have a safe weekend!

Just wanted to wish everyone a safe and happy Labor Day weekend. I will be traveling to Cincinnati to meet up with some girls that I spent my whole summer with. This summer I got to spend two months in Jos, Nigeria. It was one of the best time in my life. This is my third week back in the U.S. so I am missing it very much! I got to teach a kindergarten level class, but the ages of my kids were five to twelve. It was a learning experience for me and I already can't wait to go back!!

What an exciting summer opportunity! Hope you will share details in class and/or on the blog!

What led to this opportunity? What types of class did you get to teach?

I love to go places internationally and I found out about this opportunity through a good friend.

I worked with an organization called CLAF (childrens love advocacy foundation) It is kids who have been affected by HIV/AIDS in some way. It's not really them that that has this disease but maybe their parents or someone in their family.

I got to teach three days a week to a kindergarten level class. So we did letters and sounds, sang songs, lots of imagination stuff because they aren't taught those kinds of things there. It was a lot of fun and I would love to share more about it anytime!
